My journey as a grower began over three decades ago as I found every opportunity to transform grassy suburban lawns into colorful gardens and edible landscapes. I've had the pleasure of getting my hands in the soil all across Portland, Seattle, Bainbridge Island, Indianola and now, Poulsbo. I've been growing on this fifteen acre historic farm, just up the hill from Liberty Bay, with my family since 2017 and have been a resident of Kitsap County since 2000.
Growing is my passion.
Floral design is my expression of this passion.
I am an avid lover of nature and of wilderness; a forager, backpacker and adventurer. Native plants and plant cultivation have been a deeply important part of my life since I was a child running around in streams and eating from the garden on my parents' acreage in Iowa City, Iowa where I was born in 1972.
As a grower, I balance my time between the fields and the design studio. As such, I offer à la carte bridal bouquets, wedding florals and DIY flowers. Large scale weddings are not in my scope of work given my commitment to growing. I work with couples who are married in the most beautiful of places; the Kitsap Peninsula, Bainbridge Island and the greater West Sound area including the Olympic Mountains.
My delivery service area for special orders and custom arrangements includes Poulsbo, Bainbridge Island and the north end of the Kitsap Peninsula in Washington State.
For the love of flowers,
Stacy Marshall
WEDDING AND ELOPEMENT WORK
My style is natural and speaks to my thirty year love affair with native plants and perennial flowers. My designs are loose and airy and infused with a casual elegance. In each of my pieces, I incorporate native perennials and flowers with character, many of which tell a story of place and intention.
Focals throughout the season include ranunculus (spring), tulips (spring), peonies (spring/summer), dahlias (summer/fall) and lisianthus (summer/fall).
I am in love with line flowers; my fields are full of delphinium, foxglove and larkspur as well as innumerable flowering perennials in line form. Japanese anemone, Iceland poppies, zinnias, echinacea and cosmos are just a few of the softer, rounder flowers I grow which balance out my design work. My fields are abundant with perennial accent and fillers, many of which are scented or medicinal which lends a subtle yet intentional magic to the occasion.

"I am so so glad we worked with Stacy for our wedding flowers. I never expected to love my bouquet and other florals as much as I did. We had a great experience with picking up our flowers from the farm and we got so many compliments on our arrangements. Stacy took time to learn what we liked and she executed our vision perfectly. It is clear that she is very passionate and knowledgeable about her work; it was a genuine pleasure to participate in the process. We can't recommend her enough!"
"Working with Stacy on our wedding flowers was a dream, it was truly one of the best parts of our wedding. Stacy took my vision for my wedding flowers into thoughtful consideration, and - supplemented with her talent and expertise - truly went above and beyond providing the most gorgeous blooms for our special day. I can’t recommend Petal & Pitchfork enough - I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to work with Stacy and display her gorgeous flowers at my Bainbridge Island wedding!
"Stacy, thank you again for bringing so much natural beauty to my wedding! Your flowers captured everything that I love about this region. I am staring at my dried bouquet as I write this, and I am still smiling. I also want to thank you for sharing your home and space with my family, it was such a special visit!. You were the perfect addition to an unforgettable weekend."
All of my flowers are grown utilizing regenerative agriculture principles, without chemicals and fertilized with organic soil amendments.
